Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure IT architectures for state agency applications.
- Lead technical strategy initiatives to modernize legacy systems and improve interoperability.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations.
- Mentor junior developers and systems engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
- Oversee the deployment of cloud-based solutions, including Azure and AWS environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT architecture, systems engineering, or software development.
- Proven experience in the public sector, federal, or state government environment.
- Expertise in cloud computing (Azure/AWS), virtualization, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks, and data governance.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or CISSP are highly desirable.
