The Role:
As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will be the technical lead for major system integrations, ensuring compliance with FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific regulations. You will bridge the gap between complex government requirements and modern engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure solutions for federal clients.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal security standards, compliance frameworks, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Conduct system vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
- Manage complex vendor relationships and oversee third-party integrations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in federal or state government IT environments.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, Windows Server, and networking protocols.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and project management methodologies.
