Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT systems, networks, and servers within federal environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security standards, including NIST, FISMA, and CUI protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and incident response planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and system administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering, preferably within the federal or defense contracting sector.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Experience with network security protocols, firewalls, and identity management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
