Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management services to ensure secure access control.
- Oversee network security protocols, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for mission-critical applications and hardware systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) and hybrid architectures.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Security+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes government environment.
