Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical units, plumbing, and general building structures.
- Conduct thorough inspections of municipal facilities to identify potential hazards and areas requiring repair.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict safety regulations and city codes.
- Mentor and train junior maintenance staff on proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring accurate logging and ordering.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or municipal facilities maintenance.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical basics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical schematics.
