Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end administration of pension plans, including contribution processing, benefit calculations, and monthly disbursements.
- Analyze complex retirement data and eligibility requirements to ensure accurate member account balances.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to employees regarding retirement options, vesting schedules, and benefit estimates.
- Ensure strict adherence to Florida Statutes, federal ERISA regulations, and internal audit protocols.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in member records and respond to complex inquiries with precision and empathy.
- Collaborate with the HR Operations team and external actuaries to maintain system integrity and forecast funding requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government financial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and experience in ERIS systems.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and actuarial reports.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and pass a background check and drug screening.
