Responsibilities
- Develop and execute evidence-based policy frameworks aligned with Detroit's strategic vision
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform equitable urban development strategies
- Liaise with state agencies and community stakeholders to build consensus on key initiatives
- Oversee implementation of federal grant programs totaling $50M+ annually
- Present policy recommendations to the Mayor's Executive Leadership Team
- Lead crisis response protocols for public safety and infrastructure challenges
- Mentor junior policy analysts to build institutional knowledge capacity
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy experience at municipal or state level
- Expertise in quantitative policy analysis using SPSS/R/Stata
- Proven track record of implementing cross-departmental initiatives
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS mapping tools
- Deep understanding of Detroit's socioeconomic landscape
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
