Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental policy development and implementation for state initiatives
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Coordinate with legislative bodies, stakeholders, and community organizations
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes and assess operational impacts
- Develop strategic policy briefs and presentations for executive leadership
- Manage policy projects from conception through execution and evaluation
- Represent agency at public forums and intergovernmental meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methods and data visualization
- Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and coalition building
- Deep understanding of New York State government operations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid New York State driver's license
