Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze comprehensive policy proposals aligned with city strategic goals
- Conduct in-depth research on urban development, transportation, and social services
- Prepare high-impact briefing materials for city council and executive leadership
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across government agencies and community groups
- Monitor policy implementation and evaluate outcomes using KPIs
- Lead interdepartmental task forces on emerging civic challenges
- Present findings to public forums and legislative bodies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficient in policy analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS)
- Deep understanding of Texas municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency
