Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive policy frameworks aligned with state regulations and local priorities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging policy trends and their socioeconomic impacts
- Collaborate with legislative bodies to draft and review proposed legislation
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups, industry partners, and government agencies
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness and prepare impact assessment reports
- Present policy recommendations to senior leadership and elected officials
- Manage special projects addressing critical issues like climate resilience and public health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government policy development or public sector analysis
- Deep knowledge of California state governance structures and legislative processes
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel throughout the county
- Professional certification in public administration or policy analysis (preferred)
