Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state-level policies using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Collaborate with legislative bodies to draft impactful legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Analyze fiscal impacts of proposed policies using Ohio's Budget Management System
- Present findings to cabinet-level officials and legislative committees
- Oversee implementation of federal grant programs ($50M+ annual portfolio)
- Mentor junior analysts on public sector compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in Ohio State Legislative Information System (OSLIS)
- Advanced certification in Government Financial Management (GFOA)
- Expertise in Medicaid/Medicare policy frameworks
- Active Ohio security clearance (Tier 2)
- Experience with Tableau and SPSS for policy modeling
