Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues including housing, transportation, and economic development
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and legislative briefings
- Monitor federal/state legislation and assess local impact
- Manage grant applications and compliance for public funding programs
- Mentor junior analysts and lead intergovernmental collaboration
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Columbus municipal structure and Ohio state regulations
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
