Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and impact analysis for state-funded urban development projects
- Develop legislative recommendations and draft policy briefs for agency leadership
- Coordinate with city officials, community stakeholders, and legislative liaisons
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes affecting economic development initiatives
- Lead public engagement sessions and stakeholder feedback analysis
- Prepare agency reports for legislative committees and public hearings
- Maintain compliance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in Washington State legislative processes and budget cycles
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Proven stakeholder engagement experience with diverse communities
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated policy brief development
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
