Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues using quantitative/qualitative research methods to inform legislative proposals
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for agency heads and council members
- Lead cross-functional task forces on intergovernmental initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Monitor federal policy developments affecting DC operations
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community groups and industry partners
- Oversee program evaluation frameworks for $50M+ budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (R, Python, Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative language
- Expertise in federal grant compliance and reporting
- Valid DC government security clearance
- Superior written and oral communication skills
