Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and environmental sectors
- Develop comprehensive legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with state agencies, legislators, and community stakeholders
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and fiscal impact statements
- Testify at legislative hearings and public forums
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of enacted policies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency in policy development software (e.g., PolicyMap, R)
- California State residency required
- Valid California driver's license
- Clearance background check
