Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive policy research and analysis for metropolitan initiatives
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for city council and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects on housing, transportation, and economic development
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, presentations, and public reports
- Monitor federal/state legislation implications for local governance
- Engage with community stakeholders and public hearings
- Maintain compliance with open records and transparency requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of Tennessee municipal governance structures
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
