Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations using quantitative analysis and stakeholder interviews
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives on urban development, public health, and economic equity
- Prepare executive briefings and legislative testimony for City Council and mayoral offices
- Manage $2M+ public grant programs with rigorous compliance oversight
- Design and implement community feedback mechanisms for policy transparency
- Mentor junior analysts through policy research methodologies
- Present findings to diverse audiences including community boards and state agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government or nonprofit policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record in drafting successful municipal legislation
- PA residency required within 90 days of hire
- Clearances: FBI background check and child abuse clearance
- Experience with Philadelphia's government structures preferred
