Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health policy research and analysis using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for public health initiatives
- Collaborate with state agencies, legislators, and community stakeholders on health priorities
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and testimony for legislative committees
- Monitor federal/state health policy changes and assess impact on Illinois
- Manage grant-funded projects related to health equity and emergency preparedness
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public health sector
- Expertise in health data analysis and policy impact assessment
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with legislative experience
- Knowledge of Illinois state government operations and budget processes
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and consensus-building
- Valid Illinois driver's license
