Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological surveillance projects and analyze health trends using SAS/R
- Develop comprehensive public health intervention strategies for vulnerable populations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement community health programs
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for county commissioners and stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $2M+ annually
- Ensure compliance with CDC and state health department protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and train public health staff on data analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health administration
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, SPSS, or R)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing federal/state grants
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and health data privacy regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Texas driver's license with clean driving record
