Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues related to urban governance and public services
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with strategic city objectives
- Prepare detailed reports, briefs, and presentations for executive leadership and council members
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Monitor implementation of adopted policies and evaluate outcomes through data analysis
- Stay current on federal, state, and local legislative developments affecting Nashville
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing emerging community challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and data visualization
- Demonstrated experience with policy development and implementation processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Knowledge of Tennessee state regulations and Nashville municipal operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid Tennessee driver's license required
