Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data and emerging trends to inform state-level policy recommendations
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for public health initiatives
- Coordinate interagency task forces to address cross-cutting health equity issues
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior government officials
- Manage program evaluation frameworks for state-funded health initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and healthcare providers
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess impacts on New York's health programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public health sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing state-level health policies
- Strong understanding of New York State's public health infrastructure
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid New York State driver's license (may be required for travel)
