Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform policy recommendations for equitable development
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups, businesses, and non-profits
- Develop implementation plans for housing affordability and climate action initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for City Council and executive leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects across planning, transportation, and sustainability offices
- Monitor policy outcomes and recommend adjustments using performance metrics
- Secure federal/state grant funding supporting economic development programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record in stakeholder facilitation and community outreach
- Knowledge of Washington State land use regulations and housing policies
- Strong writing skills with samples of published policy documents
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced governmental environment
- Valid Washington State driver's license
