Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and regulations for compliance and effectiveness
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendations for legislative review
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives across state agencies
- Conduct quantitative research using advanced statistical methods
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative committees
- Develop implementation strategies for new state programs
- Monitor policy outcomes and recommend adjustments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SAS)
- Deep understanding of North Carolina state government operations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Project management certification (PMP) preferred
- Experience with public budgeting processes
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
