Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex policy issues affecting San Antonio residents
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with city strategic goals
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for city council and executive leadership
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with community groups, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Monitor implementation of adopted policies and measure impact through KPI tracking
- Stay current on federal, state, and local legislative developments affecting municipal governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with public budgeting and grant administration processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel to city facilities
