Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for County Executive and legislative bodies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholder briefings
- Collaborate with agency heads to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor federal/state legislation impacts on county operations
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging public challenges
- Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks and best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of New York State governance structures preferred
