Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy proposals and legislation to assess socioeconomic impacts and implementation feasibility
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement with community partners, legislators, and agency leadership
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations using quantitative/qualitative research
- Monitor federal/state policy trends and emerging best practices in human services
- Oversee policy implementation evaluation frameworks and continuous improvement processes
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative committees
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Deep knowledge of Colorado's legislative process and human services systems
- Advanced proficiency in policy analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Tableau)
- Strong stakeholder management and public speaking experience
- Valid Colorado driver's license
