Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop actionable policy recommendations for Metro Council and executive leadership
- Prepare comprehensive reports and legislative briefings for public stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on urban development projects
- Manage public engagement processes and community feedback analysis
- Monitor federal/state legislation affecting local governance
- Maintain compliance with open records and transparency regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of government/public sector policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS/R) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in translating research into executable policy frameworks
- Experience with Nashville's municipal government structure preferred
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work evenings for public meetings as needed
