Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive urban planning policies aligned with NYC's 2050 vision
- Analyze complex demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform strategic planning decisions
- Collaborate with community boards, elected officials, and private sector stakeholders
- Lead public engagement initiatives and prepare policy recommendations for City Council
- Manage multi-million dollar capital projects and grant-funded initiatives
- Prepare technical reports, zoning amendments, and legislative proposals
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate inter-agency task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal planning or policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and data visualization tools
- Deep understanding of NYC's zoning regulations and land use processes
- Proven track record in community engagement and stakeholder collaboration
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid New York State driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
