Responsibilities
- Lead transportation planning projects for Austin metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic data and demographic trends to inform infrastructure decisions
- Develop comprehensive corridor studies and improvement plans
- Coordinate with city planners and regional transit authorities
- Create environmental impact assessments and public engagement strategies
- Manage project budgets and timelines using state procurement guidelines
- Mentor junior planners and review technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification required
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA documentation processes
- Strong project management skills with $1M+ project experience
- Excellent written communication for technical reports and public presentations
