Responsibilities
- Lead complex transportation corridor studies and infrastructure planning projects
- Analyze multimodal traffic patterns using GIS and advanced modeling software
- Develop comprehensive sustainability frameworks for urban mobility solutions
- Collaborate with local governments and community stakeholders on public outreach initiatives
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals for federal/state transportation programs
- Oversee environmental impact assessments and compliance with NEPA regulations
- Mentor junior planners and coordinate cross-departmental project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive transportation planning experience
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic simulation software
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental impact documentation
- Strong project management skills with $5M+ project experience
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Familiarity with MnDOT design standards and federal transportation regulations
