Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare legislation and regulatory impacts for Chicago metropolitan area
- Develop policy recommendations addressing health equity and access disparities
- Collaborate with state legislators, community stakeholders, and federal agencies
- Manage public health grant programs with $5M+ annual budgets
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams on emergency response initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years experience in state government policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, Stata)
- Deep understanding of Illinois Medicaid and ACA implementation
- Proven track record of legislative testimony experience
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license
