Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex state policies and legislation
- Develop strategic policy recommendations for legislative review
- Coordinate inter-agency projects across state departments
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and public reports
- Stakeholder engagement with community leaders and officials
- Monitor legislative sessions and regulatory changes
- Lead cross-functional task force initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years state/federal government policy experience
- Advanced research and analytical writing skills
- Proficiency in policy development software (e.g., LexisNexis)
- Florida driver's license (required for statewide travel)
- Experience with Sunshine Law compliance
- Proven stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of Florida state government structure
