Responsibilities
- Research and analyze state legislation, regulations, and emerging policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for executive leadership
- Collaborate with agency directors to align policies with strategic goals
- Prepare and present policy proposals to legislative committees and stakeholders
- Monitor implementation of new policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Manage stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors
- Lead cross-functional task forces on priority initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with legislative processes and budget analysis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
- Experience with public sector grant management preferred
