Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive reports for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical software and public datasets
- Develop legislative proposals and budget recommendations for cabinet-level review
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Monitor federal policy trends and assess implications for Massachusetts
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Deep knowledge of Massachusetts state government operations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
