Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex public health policies and legislative proposals
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for agency leadership
- Coordinate interagency stakeholder meetings and public comment sessions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony documents
- Monitor federal and state regulatory changes affecting public health initiatives
- Manage policy implementation projects with cross-functional teams
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed health interventions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in health policy frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Experience with Texas legislative processes and state budget cycles
- Valid Texas driver's license required
