Responsibilities
- Develop and implement statewide IT policy frameworks aligned with Illinois' digital transformation goals
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, cloud, cybersecurity) for public sector adoption risks and opportunities
- Coordinate inter-agency technology initiatives with state, county, and municipal partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for executive leadership and legislative committees
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with industry partners and community organizations
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess implications for Illinois government operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government IT policy development or public sector technology
- Expertise in Illinois state government procurement processes and compliance
- Advanced knowledge of federal/state cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CMMC)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Illinois residency required upon hire
