Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft legislative/regulatory proposals
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases
- Collaborate with agency heads and legislative stakeholders
- Present findings to senior officials and public forums
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies
- Manage grant programs and compliance reporting
- Mentor junior analysts on policy development best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government or public policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Excel)
- Demonstrated experience with legislative processes
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- NY State residency required within 90 days
- Valid NYS driver's license (if travel required)
