Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate municipal policies addressing housing, transportation, and economic development
- Analyze complex datasets to inform evidence-based decision-making for city council
- Collaborate with 25+ city departments on cross-functional implementation strategies
- Present findings to elected officials and community stakeholders through formal reports
- Manage $2M+ grant programs ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Mentor junior analysts through rigorous policy review protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government/public policy experience with municipal focus
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Expert knowledge of Illinois municipal governance frameworks
- Proven track record in policy implementation and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Clear background check and security clearance eligibility
