Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate policy proposals for city council approval
- Analyze legislative impacts and fiscal implications of new regulations
- Coordinate cross-departmental task forces on urban development
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholder briefings
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for municipal operations
- Lead community engagement sessions for public feedback integration
- Manage $2M+ grant programs for neighborhood revitalization projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R)
- Proven track record with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) reviews
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
