Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data and draft policy recommendations for state legislation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement evidence-based initiatives
- Present policy briefings to legislative committees and agency executives
- Monitor federal regulations and assess impacts on Texas health programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations
- Develop and maintain agency policy databases and tracking systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Deep knowledge of Texas legislative process and health regulations
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Experience with budget analysis and grant management
