Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate state policies, regulations, and legislation to recommend evidence-based improvements
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefing papers, and policy briefs for executive leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives across government agencies
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on state operations
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using advanced data analysis techniques
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear, concise written and verbal communications
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, or public sector research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata)
- Demonstrated expertise in policy research methodologies and data interpretation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to produce complex documents
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania state government structure and legislative processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required
