Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on state policies, regulations, and legislation
- Develop policy recommendations and solutions to address complex public issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the public
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for decision-makers
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation and impact of existing policies
- Stay informed on current trends and best practices in public policy
- Assist in the development of legislative proposals and policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy analysis, government, or a related field
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Washington State government processes and regulations
