Responsibilities
- Policy Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of local, state, and federal regulations affecting municipal planning and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between city departments, community organizations, and external stakeholders to facilitate project approval processes.
- Report Generation: Prepare high-level strategic reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior leadership and the Atlanta City Council.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all municipal codes.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on necessary adjustments to ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in government operations, urban planning, or a related analytical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of local government structure and budgeting processes.
