Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health strategies aligned with Shelby County's 5-year wellness goals
- Manage $5M+ annual budget for health programs and emergency preparedness initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ professionals across health, social services, and education sectors
- Oversee compliance with CDC, TN Department of Health, and federal grant requirements
- Represent the county in public health forums, policy committees, and media engagements
- Implement data-driven interventions for health disparities in underserved Memphis communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in public health management
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Demonstrated success managing multi-year federal/state health grants
- Expertise in health equity initiatives and culturally competent program design
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in public health data visualization tools
- Tennessee driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
