Responsibilities
- Lead citywide emergency preparedness initiatives and pandemic response coordination
- Oversee disease surveillance systems and public health data analysis
- Develop and implement community health education programs
- Collaborate with federal/state agencies for grant compliance and funding
- Manage cross-departmental health equity initiatives
- Supervise public health staff and program evaluation
- Prepare executive reports for the Board of Health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of public health administration experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience managing federal grants (CDC, HRSA)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health regulations
- Expertise in health data analytics and visualization
- Proven crisis management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid Illinois driver's license
