Responsibilities
- Delirect direct patient care in acute care settings with specialized focus on veteran-specific conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions per established protocols
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Educate veterans and families on disease management and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and VA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (or compact state)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- VA experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Citizenship requirements per federal employment regulations
