Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for Maricopa County
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing infectious disease prevention and health equity
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design accessible health programs
- Oversee 15+ staff members and provide mentorship in public health best practices
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Represent the county at state health forums and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health administration experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Proven success managing multi-year public health grants
- Expertise in health equity and culturally competent program design
- Strong quantitative data analysis and reporting skills
- Experience with Arizona public health regulations and systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
