Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Develop policy recommendations and grant proposals to secure funding for community health initiatives
- Coordinate cross-sector partnerships with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Lead community outreach initiatives to educate residents on public health best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholder meetings
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management or policy analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of CDC guidelines and Healthy People 2030 objectives
- Proven ability to secure and manage federal/state grant funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel within Harris County
