Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and develop intervention strategies
- Coordinate cross-agency health initiatives with local governments and community partners
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Manage grant-funded health programs ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Lead public health emergency response protocols during crisis situations
- Train healthcare professionals on updated health protocols and regulations
- Conduct community needs assessments to prioritize public health resources
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Experience with CDC grant management and reporting requirements
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) designation preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder management experience
