Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to integrate health considerations into urban planning
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for city officials and community stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote health equity and access to services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant reporting (CDC, HRSA)
- Knowledge of San Antonio's demographic and health landscape preferred
- Strong written communication skills with experience producing policy briefs
